Tane(ˈtɑːnei) flower

Tane Flower (たね) means “seed” and “offspring” in Japanese, a symbol of the journey I began in 2019 when I opened my flower studio in Korea, full of hope and potential. At Tane Flower, I specialize in Ohararyu Ikebana, sharing the beauty of Japanese flower arranging through personalized lessons. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of participating in various workshops and events hosted by the Japanese Embassy and the Ohararyu Seoul Chapter.

Now, I’m excited to start a new chapter of Tane Flower here in Portland, Oregon, where I continue to draw inspiration from the area’s breathtaking nature and share the art of Ikebana with the local community.

Ikebana lessons

Ikebana with Tane Flower

Ikebana, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement, has evolved over centuries in Japan, where masters have refined their techniques and philosophies with deep dedication. At Tane Flower in Portland, Oregon, I offer personalized Ikebana lessons that honor this rich tradition while embracing modern interpretations. Through my close connection with the Ohara School in Seoul and Japan, I stay engaged with the latest developments in the art. I also travel regularly to participate in workshops across Asia, bringing fresh insights and a global perspective back to my students.

At Tane Flower, I specialize in the art of Ikebana and offer a variety of services tailored to your needs.

I provide Ikebana Workshops, which I can bring to your preferred location within the Portland area. If you’re interested, simply reach out for more information or to schedule a session.

I also offer Ohararyu Course Lessons, where you can learn this beautiful art form through an official, up-to-date curriculum, with certification upon completion.

Finally, I create custom Ikebana Floral Decorations for events, homes, or offices, bringing the elegance of Japanese floral design into any space.
